Students of the elementary levels (ages 8 and up) may begin working with botanical classification by first using the sensorial approach. The PLANT STORIES allow students to become familiar with the main characteristics of each major different type of plant. Progressing gradually a student soon learns to recognize plants as belonging to their correct DIVISION, PHYLUM, CLASS and ORDER. The PLANT STORIES consist of 48 picture cards, 48 matching labels and 48 definitions or stories. The pictures are printed in full color on white index card stock 5 ½” x 5 ½”.
